Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase rice, sugar, noodles, flour, eggs, oil, and other items.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a member of the Communal Bank “Despertar” (To Wake Up). She is 40 years old, in a common-law marriage, and has five children. Elizabeth manages a grocery store. The loan she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of groceries to restock her inventory such as rice, sugar, noodles, flour, eggs, oil, and other items.

Elizabeth’s store is located in her home and she started out with very little. A friend spoke with her about FINCA Peru and invited her to join. She has been a member for 14 years and is grateful the convenience of the loans and having the ability to save. With her savings, she was able to establish her business a little bit at a time and also purchase a plot of land in the jungle of Ayacucho. She plans to use it for planting cacao and sesame.
