Takalani Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy skirts, shirts, shoes, trousers and underwear.

Takalani Group's story

Tholakele is 47 years old and single with four children between 2 and 17 years old. Three of the children attend school. Her other source of income is the government’s child support grant. In the photo above, she is standing in the middle of her group with her hand raised. She’s been in this business for three years and sells skirts, shirts, shoes, trousers, and underwear in Hlabisa, South Africa. She requested this loan through WDB and Kiva to sell more clothing from her home and at pension pay points. The main challenge to her business is that customers buy on credit and fail to pay on time. In five years time, she would like to have a formal place for her business. The extra income from this loan will help her extend her house and send her children to school. She appreciates WDB and KIVA and hopes that they will help others as well.
