Khadiji's story

Khadiji is a 41-year-old married woman living with her family in Qana. Khadiji has owned a bakery, where she prepares and sells pastries and pizzas, for ten years. Khadiji is a hard-working woman, working on expanding her business through a loan she has requested from Al Majmoua-Kiva partner. In order to change her bakery to a big restaurant, the loan will be invested in buying plastic tables and chairs, a television, doing necessary electricity installations, and putting a banner with the shop's name on it as a marketing tool. She is also going to buy a big quantity of flour at a good price. At the beginning Khadiji had challenges to succeed since it was the first time for her to start a business. Then she got used to it and was talented too. She hopes to succeed in her important, new step, and some day open another branch.
