A loan helped to purchase more vegetables for trade.

Gulbara's Group's story

Gulbara, 47, is the leader of this group. She is married and has five children, three of whom are high school age. Ten years ago, she spent a month of her husband's salary to open a business. Instead of purchasing land for cultivation or investing in cattle, Gulbara got involved in trading vegetables. She purchases wholesale fresh vegetables delivered from the south of the country and retails them in a local food market. She remembers the times when she had to retail the small assortment of goods for only 3,000 soms. Thanks to her persistence and optimism, she managed to develop the business and raise its level to 10,000 soms monthly. The purpose of Gulbara’s loan is to purchase more goods to broaden the assortment and attract more customers. --- Where Did This Loan Come From? --- This loan is brought to you by Mol Bulak Finance (MBF), a young, ambitious and socially-focused Microfinance Institution in Kyrgyzstan.
