Book Liggueye Group's story
The solidarity group called Book Liggueye was formed on May 31, 2007. It is composed of 14 women, all from the same neighborhood. Their principal activity is selling various small items. Madame Mariama, standing on the right raising her hand, is the leader of the group. She is 52 years old. She's married and has six children. She sells various goods such as peanut butter, palm oil, smoked fish, and brooms. Her new loan will serve as working capital for her small sales business. Her objective is to ensure that she can support her offspring and improve living conditions for her family. The woman in the snapshot is a member of the solidarity group who was absent when the group photo was taken.
