La Rivera Group's story

Susy Anahi, 43, lives in the Huancayo District in Perú. She is a member of the communal bank "L. Rivera", and a single mother of two children, Raúl, age 10, and Geraldine, age 6. She has been in business selling food for two years. Before, she ran a store that did not generate much income, so now she sells food and beverages in the front of her house in the afternoons. She is very grateful to her children for the unconditional moral support they give her every afternoon so she can generate an income and cover household expenses. The loan will be used to buy rice, oil and sugar for the business. The member is the one on the right in the first row, with the green sweater and bluejeans. The group members who were not present are Edeli, Ana Isabel, and Magaly Angelica who are pictured to the left of the larger photo. The loan is for 1,000 PEN.
