Allin Llankaquna Group's story
The name of this group is Allin Llankaquna. They meet every month in the city of Urubamba (Cusco, Perú). This communal bank distinguishes itself by being comprised of hard-working people, farmers, craftsmen, merchants, and ranchers. The group is comprised of nine members. This is the first time they have requested a loan with the Asociación Arariwa. They will use the money to improve their businesses. We met Jesús at this meeting. She tells us that she was born in the city of Quiquijana, which is three hours from the city of Urubamba. Jesús currently lives in the city of Urubamba with her husband and their four children. When she was a child her parents taught her field work. Now that she is an adult, she works independently. She rents small farms to cultivate flowers and greens. She started her business four years ago. It is going very well for her thanks to the effort she puts into her work. She grows flowers like carnations and gladiolas. At other times she grows greens like parsley, rue, and mint. She now needs a loan to buy seeds and fertilizer. She is 48 years old. She is a person with a great desire to succeed and to have a successful business day after day. She always wishes to give the best to her family. Jesús’ dream is to be able to export beautiful flowers to other cities.
