Abashizehamwe Group's story

Justine is a 33 years old merchant residing in Rugombo Township in western Burundi. She has been trading in local banana beer for two years, and simultaneously is a farmer. She is married and the mother of four children aged respectively 14, 13, 8 and 1. Three of the children attend school. She went to school up to sixth grade. She is requesting a Kiva loan to increase her capital and produce a large quantity of local banana beer and expand her business to make large profits. She hopes that her activity will grow considerably, so that she can live more easily and purchase a lot on which to build her own house. She is a member of the "Abashizehamwe" solidarity group.
