Celia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped buy sacks of organic manure.
Celia is 58 years old, and is a very wise and experienced woman. She lives with her 20 year old daughter Katy, in their own home located in Palcamayo. Ever since she was a little girl, Celia, has worked in agriculture and cattle breeding, “I took care of my parents’ pigs and helped them in the harvest,” she mentions. With time she invested her strength and time to get ahead, when she was younger she worked in a pastry shop for 10 years selling bread, cakes and other products. That gave Celia enough time to raise money to buy her own plot of land where she grows vegetables that she sells wholesale in the capital. Later she was able have a small store in her home and decided to look for a partner to be able to sow her land and have more time to work on her other activities. She put the plot of land and manure while her partner put in the seeds and labor for the harvest. As a hardworking and clever woman she was able to invest all of her profits to build a home in the city of Chanchamayo (in the central jungle of Peru) where she rents rooms to different people collecting rent each month. At present, Celia wishes to buy and sell plots of land to keep supporting her daughter in her agribusiness studies. Celia belongs to the “Patrón San Cristóbal” Communal Bank and this is her tenth loan with MFP, where she is grateful for the support given to her by her communal bank in developing her goals throughout the years. Celia will use the loan to buy various sacks of organic manure for the next harvest season to have a good one.
