Joshua Trust Bank Group's story

Augustina describes herself as a neat and hard-working woman. She is a 39-year-old mother of four children. Her husband is a commercial driver. Augustina is currently the group leader of Joshua Trust Bank. For the past 3 years, Augustina has been a small trader who sells food items like cassava, plantains, cocoyam and bananas. She also engages farming as her second business to make extra income. She is excited to be taking the loan which she plans to invest into purchasing assorted food items to serve her customers. She anticipates increasing her profit level and also expanding her market. Augustina hopes to mobilize more savings to buy a piece of land to start building a house to accommodate her family. The other members of Augustina’s group are traders and service providers. As the leader of the group, she ensures regular meeting attendance and repayment of loan installments.
