Matogoma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics, and spare parts for her sewing and embroidery machines.

Matogoma's story

Mrs. Matogoma K. is a 30-year-old married woman. She lives with her husband in Lafiabougou, a district on the outskirts of the city of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali). After attempting several different activities without success, Matogoma K. was introduced to sewing 11 years ago. Her sewing shop is located near the new market of Médine, and she already has three machines, two for embroidery, and the other a standard machine. Mrs. Matogoma is in high demand for the quality of her services. Wanting to better serve a steadily increasing clientele, she decided to join the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso a few months ago. This is her first individual loan, which she will use to buy spare parts for her three sewing machines. She will also buy fabrics to sew and sell. This will allow her to meet the needs of her growing customer base. With this loan, she expects to earn a monthly profit of 100,000 FCFA, which will be used primarily to cover family expenses, to pay the interest on the loan, and to reinvest in her business.
