Njeru's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy timber for resale in his carpentry shop.

Njeru's story

Njeru M. is 51 years old and married to Mary, who contributes to the family income by helping in the shop. He has four children aged 16, 14, 10 and 8 years old. Njeru has been running his retail shop and carpentry workshop for a period of about four years, and has an income of approximately 20,000 Kenyan Shillings.
This is his first loan from Kiva partner, KADET, after being introduced by a staff member. He wants to use his loan to buy timber for resale in his carpentry shop. He hopes to improve his family's living standards and give his children a good quality education.
