Olga Lidia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy chickens and to buy sandals.
Olga Lidia's story
Olga Lidia Vaquerizo Pérez lives in a common law union with Mr. Mariano Aguilar Vázquez. She had five children with him who are in school. They are: Jeronimo, 23 and going to the university, Gladis Mariana, 13, in 8th grade and the two youngest, Pedro and Pablo, are 5 years old. She buys free range chickens that she later sells either butchered or live. She also buys sandals to sell in the communities near her location to improve her income by doing both businesses. It was her own creativity that led her into this type of business to support herself because what her husband earns is very little and sometimes isn’t enough to cover all the expenses they generate and this is why she’s asked for the loan to manage. It’s important for her to have the support from the loan because it’s a base from which to better stock her business so that her customers will be pleased with the attention she gives them. Her greatest wish is that the loan helps her to improve the quality of her work so that it will grow daily and she can continue to support her children who are still in school.
