Maxima's story

Maxima is a member of “Las Intocables” (The Untouchables) community bank which is located in Puno district, in Puno province and department. She is 39 years old, married, and has two children. She completed her high school education. Maxima has been working with Movimiento Manuela Ramos for three years. Her first loan was for 300 Peruvian soles and she invested that money in her business. Maxima sells textile fibers (threads and yarns) wholesale. Maxima is requesting a new loan for 1,300 soles to buy 200 pounds of alpaca fiber. Her sister and her mom sometimes help her in her business. Her husband provides urban transport services. Maxima's dream is to become a wholesaler in her business. What Maxima likes about her community bank is saving and the profit.
