Las Rosas Group's story
Ana requires a loan to buy flour, cooking oil, butter and baking soda. She runs a small bakery where she prepares homemaD. bread in her house. With the profits, she is planning to save to build her own house. Most of our associates do not have their own houses, or they have them in a simple structure. One of the most important challenges and dreams for them is to buy or build their own houses. Ana lives in the Santo Domingo area in one of the poorest communities surrounding the main city of the Dominican Republic. Ana and her group of 20 women are taking out loans for their businesses. This group is named Las Rosas 1, 2, 3 & 4. This is Ana´s second loan with Esperanza International. She has taken a step toward improving her business by investing her last loan to increase her sales by starting her business again. She has had her business for over 10 years but stopped running it for some years. After taking out her first Esperanza loan she restarted her business. Her most difficult challenges are to build her house, save money, and proviD. for her 5 children. She says that her favorite thing is to listen to music. Ana and her group are thankful for your support! This group has two photos because there were too many to be in just one, and we try to show the faces most visibly by having two photos.
