Lkham's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more wooden materials to produce furniture.

Lkham's story

Mrs.Lkham N., a 58-year-old widow, lives in her children's neighborhood in a small ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital city. Her children live with their spouses and children in separate houses on one plot of land. Since 1998 Lkham has run a furniture-making business first established by her husband. Assisted by some of her children, she sells her products at Narantuul, the biggest outdoor market in the city.

Having received and repaid a Kiva loan last year, Lkham is now requesting a new one to purchase wood materials to construct new types of furniture including children’s bunk beds and tables and chairs for café and bars, all currently in high demand.
