Nikki's story

Nikki T., from the village of Sebac,Tudela, Misamis Occidental, is 42 years old, married, and has one school-aged child. To make a living, Nikki owns and operates a specialized retail store selling daily-use products such as sugar, canned goods, coffee, shampoo, soap and toothpaste in the local community. Engaged in her business for over three years, she earns approximately 2,000 PHP a month.

In 2010, Nikki joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Having repaid her previous loan of 5,000 PHP from GDMPC that was used as additional capital for her business, she is requesting her third loan loan for 7000 PHP to purchase dried fish and bagoong for sale. Nikki plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her store.
