Jipe Moyo Group's story

Selestine R. is in his mid-thirties and is married with one son who goes to school. He has been running a grocery store for seven years. He works from 9.00am to 11.00pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be Selestine's 11th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used his previous loans to increase on his grocery stock. He also bought more tables and chairs, paid rent and bought some land. He has paid back his loans successfully. He hopes for a loan to increase his stock of groceries. His dream is to one day own his place and have a big grocery. Selestine will share this loan with his loan group "Jipe Moyo", which has a total of 16 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans. In the picture, Selestine is a fat man in the middle at the back in a dark shirt.
