Malkhaz's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase seeds for vegetables and fertilizers.
Malkhaz lives in the village of Aradeti, Khashuri district. He is 41 years old and lives with wife Manana, two sons (17 and 15 years old) and his parents. Malkhaz and Manana are in charge of the family agricultural business. The children go to local secondary school and his parents are retired. Malkhaz’s family earns on average 500 Laris per month from agricultural activities. They have two milk cows and two calves. Dairy products (mainly traditional Georgian cheese) are sold on local market. Also they have a small pig-farm with seven pigs and three piglets. the piglets will be raised and then sold locally. Along with the above-mentioned, A.’s family owns approximately 3 ha of agricultural land, where potatoes, tomatoes and apple trees are grown. Harvested fruits and vegetables are sold locally. It’s now the season for sowing vegetables and Malkhaz needs a loan to purchase seeds for potatoes and fertilizers for both potatoes and tomatoes. Malkhaz hopes that after fertilizing he will have good harvest. The earned profit will be used to cover the children’s school expenses and part will be reinvested in agriculture.
