Eshrat's Group's story
Eshrat lives in a small city called Kasur, which is located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is famous for its leather industry. Her house is located in the area of Khara road where she has been living with her family for the past six years. Her husband's name is A. D. and he is a gardener by profession. He is very good in his work and does his job with great responsibility. Eshrat supports her family financially by selling clothes. She purchases clothes from Lahore and sells to different clothes shops in the city. She has given birth to three daughters. All of them are very young and haven’t started their education yet. Eshrat is a very good mother and a housewife and does her household responsibilities very well. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to improve her clothes-selling business. With the loan, she will buy clothes in bulk to offer more variety to her clients and to increase her monthly profits. She is hopeful that her business will improve further with the loan investment. She is a new loan user and this is her first loan application to Asasah. Note: In the photo, the lady with a book (called Asasah Passbook) is Eshrat.
