The group president is Adelaida, a 44-year-old native of Jorochito who has lived in the area for the past 30 years. She makes a living selling vegetables at an area market, which she has done for the past five years. She's married to her husband, Luis, and they have two school-age children. Adelaida is a very hard-working woman who helps her husband with household expenses. With the money form the loan she plans to purchase vegetables in bulk and thus stock her sales post. The group's secretary is Virginia, who is 28 and has lived in the Jorochito area for the past two years. She has maD. a living selling jewelry at an area market for the past year. She is single and has three school-age children. With the loan, she plans to purchase merchandise to offer her customers. All the members are responsible and hard-working people who are grateful for the support they are provided.
