Tuzanyumwete Group's story
Perpétue M. is a 40 year-old shopkeeper who lives in the Kanyosha commune in the municipality of Bujumbura. For six years she has sold items such as dresses (wax cloth robes for women) and also food products such as milk. She achieved the A2 level of secondary education. She is married to Jonas Minani, a skill training consultant, and they have six children together, four of whom attend school. Perpétue is on her fourth loan with the Turame credit association. She is seeking a Kiva loan in order to grow her capital by purchasing many wax cloths for women, and by diversifying her business with the aim of putting some savings aside and growing her business. She would like to become a prominent shopkeeper in the future. She is a member of the Tuzanyumwete group.
