Seema's Group's story
Seema is 26 years old and married, with 3 children. She lacks an education: She always wanted to go to school but wasn't able to do this due to her parents' poor financial condition. . Her husband, M. B., has a milk-selling business. He gets milk from his own buffaloes which he keeps at his home. He has a good number of clients in his area who purchase milk from him due to its freshness and good quality Seema is an embroidery expert. She learned the art of embroidery from her mother. She takes regular orders from her neighboring clients and charges a very reasonable amount to produce quality work. The family lives in the small city of Kot Radha Kishan in Pakistan. Kot Radha Kishan is famous for its dairy industry. Seema owns a small single-room house there and she has been living in it for more than five years. Seema has applied for a loan for the first time from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband. With the loan, he will buy another buffalo which will help him to increase his milk production and to serve many more clients in his area. Seema is confident that with the loan investment, her husband’s household income will be increased and she will be able to send her elder daughter, who is now 6 years old, to school.
