A loan helped To buy palm oil, groundnut oil, rice, savon, firewood.
Penn P. S. was born in 1962, she is married to Penn Pius Ndoh, and they are blessed with seven children. Their family lives at Foncha Street, a neighbourhood in Nkwen Bamenda, in the North West Region of Cameroon. P. has faced some challenges in life. She has been struggling to raise these children with the help of her husband. She faces difficulties providing for their school needs, especially payment of their school fees on time. She has successfully borrowed and repaid loans seven times with GHAPE since 2002. She plans to invest this loan in a provision store which will contain rice, beans, palm oil, groundnut oil, savon, magi, salt, and the sale of firewood. She has been in this for a long time now, and success is her watch word. She believes the business will succeed because she has targeted a period where there will be scarcity of firewood and at that time it will be expensive. The loan will help her community because they will be able to buy firewood and other items in her provision store at affordable prices. P. will plough back her profit into her business and use part to care for her family. Her children’s school needs will be taken care of. She prefers GHAPE because of the training she frequently receives and the method of obtaining and paying back the loan.
