Takku Liggueye Group's story

The TAKKU LIGG. solidarity group has been in existence since receiving its first loan on December 30, 2009. The group is made up of women from the same village, who have come together as family members, friends and neighbors. Their revenue-producing activities consist of small-scale retail, making peanut oil, selling perfume, sewing, fattening livestock, and raising poultry. The group is part of the NDIARE D. Banc Villageois. Mrs. Nogaye D., standing at the far right of the photo, is the group's leader. She is married and the mother of 10 children. She is also responsible for 2 of her grandchildren. She sells various items: shoes, clothes for children, vegetables, ground pepper, peppers, garlic, etc. This new loan will allow her to develop and promote her small retail business. Her goal is to increase her level of savings and to take responsibility for paying school fees for one of her grandsons. Finally, she would like to support her husband in meeting the family's financial needs.
