Wilma's story

Wilma D. is from the village of Upper Dicayas. She is 49 years old, married and has four adult children. Wilma makes food, especially snacks known as "biko" made of malagkit rice and coconut milk, to sell. She has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month. In 2006, Wilma joined PMPC to gain access to their financial services. She successfully repaid her previous loan of 10,000 PHP from PMPC) and is requesting a new loan of 14,900 PHP which will be used as additional working capital and to purchase materials for housing repair. This loan will be the 11th loan taken out by Wilma from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue from her business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
