Guadencio's story

Guadencio A. is from the village of Mapuroc, San Mateo. He is 51 years old. Guadencio is married and has 3 adult children. To make a living, Guadencio owns & operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Guadencio has been engaged in his business for over 30 years and earns approximately 10000 PHP a month from these activities. In 2010, Guadencio joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Guadencio is requesting a new loan of 25000 PHP, which will be used to purchase seeds, seedlings & young crops to raise. This loan will be the 1st loan taken out by Guadencio from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve/expand his business. About ASKI: ASKI is one of the most successful microfinance institutions in the Philippines. It has 38 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas.
