Mrs. Chin Kano Village Bank Group's story

In Pong Tuek village, Takeo province, live 17 people who make up a village-bank loan. Mrs. Chin K. is the village bank president. She has been selected by the other members, who will use their portion of the loan for different purposes to improve their families' living conditions. She is a farmer who owns a half-hectare plot of land in which to grow rice to sell to support her family. Her husband, Mr. Yen Im, is a farming-supplies producer who can earn some money to support his family. Although they try to work hard, they earn little money. So to improve their family's living, Mrs. Chin K. is requesting a loan to buy some piglets for breeding to start a new business. She is a mother of two children who are both too young to work or study. All the members are shown in the picture but one of them is blocked.
