A loan helped To buy potato and bean seeds.

Emilio's story

Emilio, 41, is a humble and hard-working man who lives in his own home with his wife, Marlene, 35, and his 2 dear sons, Luis, 13 and Michael, 7. They are the main reasons that he works so hard. He is a farmer and he grows potatoes and beans. Every day he works in the fields from very early in the morning. He knows that the better quality his crops are, the better prices he will receive in the wholesale market in Tarma. What he likes most about his work is harvesting his crops since that is when he feels that the months of work show their results. He has been a farmer for 23 years and what he finds most difficult is fumigating the land since there is always the danger that the chemicals will cause some type of illness. In the future he wants to buy more land so that he can plant more. This is his first loan with MFP. He has shown that the money will help him with the progress of his work. In his communal bank he is a very responsible and respectful member. With the 1900 soles that he is requesting, he will buy potato and bean seeds since this is the season when these crops will best sell.
