Renacer Group's story

This long-standing community bank is in its third loan cycle. The group has 9 members who all live in El Torno. The bank's president, Marianela is 23 years old. Her business is a transport business between El Torno and Santa Cruz. She has been making income from her vehicle for three years. Her second business activity is farming in Valle Grande province. She has been doing this for four years. Marianela lives with her partner Hugo who is a haulage contractor. Together they have a young son. Marianela will invest her loan money in having her vehicle serviced as it needs some repair work doing to it. She is a very hard-working woman who works in her two businesses for the well-being of her family. The bank's secretary Paulina has lived in El Torno for four years. Her business is selling light refreshments in El Torno as an itinerant street vendor. She has been doing this for one year. Paulina lives with her partner Abundio who provides taxi services in his 'mototaxi' (a motorbike with a cabin in back for transporting cargo or passengers). They have four school-age children. Paulina will use her loan money to buy groceries and supplies to prepare her meals with. These clients are grateful to the institution for having placed trust in them again and for supporting them when they most need it.
