A loan helped To pay for renovations to create a classroom setting, supplies and advertising.
Orna is a single mother of two who is working hard to ensure a better future for herself and her children. She has important emotional support from her parents, enabling her to open her business while studying for her Masters in Education. Orna is a private tutor and instructor from the prestigious Israeli Bar Ilan mathematics program for elementary through high school students. Orna is opening a math tutoring business for groups. She has a strong base of potential clientele from her existing tutoring and education connections. There is a strong need in Tel Aviv for math tutors, especially at Orna's level. The draw of group tutoring as opposed to individual is large since it holds down the individual costs for students, while creating a supportive small group atmosphere as well. For Orna, it means a larger amount of per hour income as opposed to one-on-one tutoring. The loan is needed to pay for renovations to create a classroom setting, supplies and advertising. Orna will use her current connections with different schools in the area. With this loan, she is moving her business to a location with increased diversity and higher socio-economic possibilities. In the future, Orna wants to expand her business and hire additional tutors to work with the ever-growing number of student groups.
