Marcelina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To buy chairs and tables. To buy supplies wholesale for her small restaurant.
Marcelina belongs to the 'Qorilazo' community bank which is located in Cachona district, in Cusco province, in Cusco department. Marcelina is originally from Cusco and is 31 years old. She lives with her partner and has three children. She used to work washing cars under the bridge in Cachona. She had a barrel of water and a bucket full of water and detergent to clean cars with. She also had her cloths for washing and drying and, together with some other people, she would provide this service to cars that passed by. She used to earn pretty good money but, after years of doing that work, she was able to save a little money and set up a small restaurant. She now works with her assistants and prepares home-cooked meals. She also makes breakfasts for taxi drivers. She gets up early to make her meals and prepare her breakfasts. Marcelina is doing much better now that she no longer has to fill her barrel with water and carry her other buckets and cloths and detergent in her 'triciclo' (three-wheeled vehicle) to the bridge to set herself up for work. It was very hard work she tells us and she is happy with her new business. Marcelina is requesting a loan to buy chairs and tables as well as supplies wholesale for her small restaurant. Marcelina is happy to be receiving a loan and she pledges to make her repayments on time.
