Leah's story

Leah N. K. is a married lady. Her husband is an accountant. They have three children, ages 6 to 19, that they hope to educate to the university level. Her business, Princess Exhibition, is located in the Nairobi Central Business District and is well known. She sells clothes such as blouses, suits, handbags, and shoes. Her clients include both men and women who walk in. She also has repeat customers. She says that this business is profitable. Her only major challenge is that the business is seasonal, which means that sometimes business is slow and profits are fewer. However, she works very hard every day from early morning to late evening to keep her business doing well. She is using her loan of 50,000 KES to buy more clothes in preparation for the Christmas holiday. In the future, she hopes to grow her business and own a boutique. She describes herself as patient and visionary.
