A loan helped To purchase a motorcycle.

Joseph's story

From Kitale town in western Kenya, 36-year-old Joseph C. has been farming for seven years. A married father of four school-aged children who all attend school, he produces on his mixed farm milk, maize and beans, all of which are sold locally. He is also a casual worker at Kenya Seed Company in Kitale town.

Joseph is requesting this loan of 65,000KES through Juhudi Kilimo to purchase a motorcycle. He says that the income obtained from this added source of income will make life more comfortable because he will be able to afford the basic needs of his family and some small luxury. He hopes to purchase another motorcycle in the future to enable him to take a contract for transporting the milk of those farmers in the interior region of Kitale.

Joseph says that his biggest challenge arises during the rainy season when the roads are sometimes very poor, causing him to lose business.
