Narcisa Elena's story

Narcisa J. is a member of the community bank Mujeres Luchadoras. She lives in the city of Cuenca, which is known as Santa Ana of the Four Rivers. Its culture and traditions make this a charming city. It has a variety of cuisines, and the people are nice and friendly. Narcisa has been a clothing saleswoman for 15 years. She sells all types of used clothing on the street one day a week. She spends the rest of her time at home caring for her children. She is also a beauty professional and works on the weekends in her friend's shop. Narcisa is 39 years old, married, and has four children, who are 21, 16, 13, and 6 years old. Her oldest daughter studies at the university, her second and third daughters are in high school, and her youngest child attends a public school. Her husband is the owner of a mechanic shop. They don't own their own home, so they rent a home. This is her fifth loan with her community bank. Her sister-in-law invited her to form part of the group. She plans to use the loan to purchase more clothing for the Christmas season. Her goal is to have her own beauty salon.
