Samuel Ndirangu's story
Samuel Ndirangu M., aged 30 years, operates a retail shop at the Bissil Market, which is a very busy market. He sells his goods to Bissil residents and livestock traders who come to Bissil every day to sell their livestock. He is married to Wairimu, a farmer, and together they have a son and a daughter in nursery school and baby class respectively. He was introduced to KADET by the credit officer. Samuel has been running his retail shop for a period of two years and he makes a monthly profit of 14,000 Kenyan shillings (Kshs). With his first loan with KADET LTD, Samuel plans to use the whole Kshs 10,000 to increase his stock of rice, sugar and flour for sale. If the loan boosts the business, he will expand his business to a wholesale one. Samuel, who describes himself as hardworking and ambitious, dreams of becoming a wholesaler and opening other branches. He also hopes to buy a lorry (truck) for transporting his goods.
