A loan helped to buy clothes in bulk.
Rani's Group's story
Rani is the mother of 2 daughters who are involved in the embroidery business, embroidering clothes on order. Her husband operates a power loom (a hand-operated machine for weaving thread or yarn into cloth) business. He makes threads of different colors on order and earns income for the family.
Rani has applied for a loan from Kiva's partner Asasah to improve her clothing sales business. She plans to use the loan to buy a variety of clothes in bulk to earn more income. Rani has been running this business for over 10 years and is very confident about its future growth. She is hopeful that the loan investment will help her increase her profits and enable her to collect dowry for her elder daughter's marriage. Rani is a new loan applicant with Asasah.
