Armonia Ii Group's story
The Armonia II group has five members, all determined, hard-working and entrepreneurial. Martha Lorena D. Rodriguez is one of the group's members. She has operated a business making and selling food and drink--pozol (a traditional drink made with cacao and maize), jicaro seeds and snacks--since she moved to Managua 7 years ago. She wants to make improvements to her house. Rodriguez, 47, has six children. She will use her share of the loan to buy snacks and vegetables to stock her business. The other members of the group are: Adelia de los Angeles Lopez Ortiz, 20, who operates a business selling silver pieces; Claudia Vanessa F. Rodriguez, who operates a business making and selling frijoles and firewood; Deborah Rebeca G., who makes and sells tortillas and frijoles; and Alfredo Mauricio R., who makes and sells nacatamales and soups on the weekends.
