Uyanga's story

Uyanga B. is 31 years old and lives with her husband and two children in Bayanhongor province of Mongolia. She and her family live in a ger, a traditional Mongolian housing tent. Her husband operates a transportation service using his own car and in summer months, he trains a racehorse. Her two children attend a local school. The family moved to their current town in 2001 after working and living as a herder in the countryside between 1995 and 2000. Uyanga graduated from a hairdresser training course in Ulaanbaatar, a capital city of Mongolia. Since 2002, she has been working as a hairdresser. She is a friendly and open-minded woman. In the future, she plans to purchase the necessary and latest tools and equipment for her hair salon and provide good service for her customer in a comfortable environment. Uyanga says, "I want to save my business earnings and buy a new house and fence for my family." She is requesting a 1,500,000 MNT loan to purchase tools and equipment for her barber shop.
