Gladys Janneth's story

Gladys Janneth M. M. is 21 years old, married, and lives with her husband and child in the canton of Guaranda in Bolívar Province. She has one child.

Gladys is a member of the Guantucoto Communal Bank, which is located a half hour from Guaranda. This group engages in farming and ranching, especially corn and potato production in the mountainous areas as well as in the coastal region where rice is grown. The Communal Bank has 25 members.

Gladys has been farming for several years, growing potatoes and corn. She also raises and sells livestock animals. Gladys buys her supplies in Guaranda and sells at the wholesale market in the same city.

She is requesting a loan to buy supplies for growing corn and potatoes. With the help of this loan, she will have the financial resources to acquire necessities for her family. The challenges she faces include pests and diseases that can impact her crops. Her dream is to purchase both a vehicle and a house.

Gladys enjoys going for walks.
