A loan helped To buy fertilizer to improve his potato crop.

Ignacio's story

33 year old Ignacio is a hardworking man who lives with 28 year old Maribel. They have four young children who they are bringing up and educating in their own home which is located in the rural area of Santa Clara. When he was just a boy, his parents taught him how to work the earth. This meant that when he started his own family he already had experience growing potatoes. As he is a responsible father, each harvest time he takes his crops to the central market of the country's capital and sells it there where he can get a good price and make a profit. What he likes about his work is sowing the crops and seeing how the seed grows little by little. For the future, he is thinking of saving enough to buy a truck that he can use to take his harvest not just to the capital, but also to other cities in the country. Ignacio wants to be a wholesaler of potato tubers. This is his fourth loan from MFP and, as a member of the community bank, he is grateful for the support offered to him in difficult times. He will use the loan that he is requesting to buy natural fertilizer to improve his crops of "pericholi" and 'única" variety potatoes, which he will be harvesting in the coming months.
