Sughran Muhammad Ilyas' Group's story

Sughran is a resident of Gujranwala where she lives with her family in a two-roomed brick house in an area named Faqirpura. She has been living here for over 30 years. Gujranwala is an industrial city also known for its rice crop.
Sughran supports her family by doing embroidery work for her neighboring customers. She has a vast knowledge of her business and keeps up to date about the latest trends in fashion. She is the mother of two daughters and a son. Her daughters help her in completing embroidery orders on time and her son works in a factory earning a meager income.
Sughran is married to M. I., a cobbler. He receives orders from different factories and shoe shops and provides them with finished goods to earn an income.
Sughran has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, for her embroidery business. With the loan, she will buy embroidery materials such as beads, colored thread, fabric and sketches that will help her to finish orders on time and offer more variety to her customers. She is a new loan user of Asasah and this is her first loan application. She hopes that it will be a profitable experience for her.
Note: In the photo, the lady who has holds a book (called the Asasah passbook) in her hands is Sughran.
