Kibalinga Kyosimba Onanya B, Mubende Group's story

Hardworking and cooperative N. Aisha has been running a general-merchandise retail shop from Kibalinga trading center in Mubende, where she sells basic items for home use. She has been operating this business for over 10 years. She started this business in a bid to be able to educate her children, and it currently earns her 600,000 Ugandan shillings monthly. The mother of eight children confirms that she has had problems restocking her business, as the stock available is not satisfying customers' demand. She uses loans to help her buy more goods to resell at a profit, with the hope of earning more income, catering for her family's needs, and thus improving her standard of living. This time round, she wants to clear her children's school dues. She belongs to Kibalinga Kyosimba onanya group with other members who hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
