Nyakiju Tukore A, Rukungiri Group's story

Hard-working K. Naboth has, over the years, been operating a cattle fattening farm in Nyakiju cell, Rukungiri. He sells cows at the periodic markets that take place in Western Uganda. He purchases livestock directly, raises it on his farm and then finds a ready market for it supplying to butchers, hotels and other customers in the periodic markets. He also operates agricultural farms from which he generates income out of food crops like bananas, beans and maize. The main drawbacks in his business have been unstable market prices and low capital input. With hard work and efficient customer care skills, he has managed to keep his business going for over 7 years. In a month, he makes profits to the tune of 400,000 Ugandan shillings. His future plans are to expand his business transactions and to restock his farm. This will earn him more revenue to pay for his children’s education and to improve their standard of living. With this loan, he anticipates great strides forward in achieving this dream and in restocking more cattle for sale.
