Wofunira Women's Group 1-Zzana, Kampala's story

51-year-old Harriet N. was previously in the poultry business. With time, however, her priorities changed. About three years ago she began selling charcoal, bananas, tomatoes and onions in Zzana, Kampala. To reach where she is today, she had to summon a lot of diligence to face both trying and flourishing times. Harriet comes across as a happy-go-lucky woman who speaks very highly of her four kids, who she cares for very much. Harriet says that she owes it to herself to see that her kids get a good education. In a week her cash inflows are approximately 50,000 shillings. Harriet is requesting this loan to buy more lucrative cash crops like pineapples and cabbages to resell primarily to restaurant owners. She is affiliated with the Wofunira group-Kampala.
