Perveen's Group's story

Perveen (shown holding the book) lives in Jaranwala, a small city located in Punjab Pakistan and known for its agriculture industry. She has been residing with her family in a two-room brick house in the area of Islampura for the past 13 years. Perveen has four daughters and one son, four of whom are students. She wants them to complete their education to ensure their futures.

Perveen's husband, M. T., is a private entrepreneur dealing in unstitched clothes. He has been selling clothes to many cloth shops in various areas of the community for the past 10 years by going about on his four-wheeled cart. Having developed a large clientèle, his sales allow him to meet the financial expenses of the family.

Perveen has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business so that he can buy unstitched clothes in bulk to increase both his sales and his income.

Perveen is a regular loan user of Asasah, and this is her second loan application. With her previous loan she established good credit behavior and attended every meeting.
