A loan helped To purchase merchandise at greater discounts.
Estela is 30 years old. She has one son and lives with her parents in La Esperanza, a part of Reque – a town to the south of the city of Chiclayo. It is a rural area in which the majority of the population raise animals in order to support themselves. Estela and her family support each other in order to maintain a clean and happy home. Estela will use her loan to expand her small general store. She sells items of basic needs including soap, accessories and food products such as rice, beans and corn. She has been running her business for over six months and finds that she needs access to more capital in order to realize greater discounts on her wholesale purchases. This will allow her to increase her profit margin and better provide for the family. Estela has good references both from the community and other businesses. She is a hardworking woman who is extremely dedicated to ensuring that her son receive the best opportunities as he grows up. She is grateful for the access to credit that she has been provided and the reduced cost of the Kiva product.
