Simon's story

After working at a canning company, Simon F. started Elsa Auto Body Shop in 1967 and has developed a loyal clientele. However, the summer months were slow, and he now needs a loan for working capital to help him get through this rough time. This is Simon’s second loan. In 2008, when Hurricane Dolly swept through Texas, the roof of his auto body shop went with it. Simon used his first loan to buy a new, solid roof that could endure the hurricane force winds and rain that annually threaten south Texas. The new roof allowed him to continue working and he successfully paid back the loan. When business slows down, Simon does not stop working. He does other landscaping jobs in order to make the loan payments. As an avid rock collector, Simon hopes that one day he will be able to pursue his passion for rocks more actively.
