A loan helped To purchase more agricultural produce in bulk to resell.

Basekamajja Group-Mukono's story

N. Joy is a member of the BaseKamajja development group. For the past 15 years, she has been making ends meet selling agricultural produce like cassava, beans, rice and yams at a market stall in Kasambira-Jinja. She is a happily married mother with five children and she makes a weekly profit of 70,000 shillings. This business that started off small has enabled her to sustainably shoulder her responsibilities, be it the provision of her family's welfare or the growth of her business. Her first business was selling secondhand clothes. Her business, notwithstanding its success, has not grown at the pace that she envisioned. It’s for this reason that she is requesting this loan so she can purchase more agricultural produce in bulk to resell and hence to make more profit.
