A loan helped To buy five washing machines.
Yaneris C. Ríos, 44, solves one of housewives’ most pressing problems when they don’t own washing machines and have to wash clothes by hand in the hot sun. This is the need she observed in herself so she decided to go into business providing washing machine rentals in 2006. Also, her family needed more income in order to have a better quality of life. In El Milagro, her neighborhood, there is very little competition and this helps her business grow day by day. That is, of course, by providing cordial service from 7am until 7pm. This is her first loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and she wants to use it to buy five more washing machines which will substantially increase family income because her customer base has expanded into residential areas where such a service is nonexistent. Her dream is to achieve economic stability for her family and a more promising future. This is why she works daily building a better way to respond to customer needs. This led her to expand business hours so that when mothers get home from work at night they can wash clothes and thus have time available on weekends to enjoy recreational activities with their children.
